ELC has been voted Best Language School Southern Hemisphere for the 3rd time at the LTM Star Awards 2011 in London. This means that ELC has been the winner of this prestigious award for 3 out of the past 5 years confirming the status of the college as the best in the southern hemisphere. The award recognizes excellence in educational services and quality.

ELC has once again been nominated for Best Language School Southern Hemisphere in 2011!

ELC has been nominated for the prestigious LTM Star Award: Best Language School Southern Hemisphere again this year! This makes ELC the only language school in Australia to have been nominated five years in a row, since 2007. We are very proud of this achievement and would like to thank all of our students and partners for helping us realize this level of excellence. It is an honour to have our academic quality and student services recognized, and as always, we will strive to continue improving even further in the coming years.

ELC opens a 3rd student house!

The 2 premium student residences opened last August have proved so popular that ELC has decided to expand the capacity and upgrade to a 3rd house. The house is just next door to the other two, less than 10 minutes walk to school and in beautiful location. The houses are fully renovated, modern and bright with great facilities, including: high speed wifi, Apple-Mac computers, fully-equipped kitchen and now air-conditioning!

From August 2009 ELC is happy to offer exclusive accommodation to students who study at ELC. Just 10 minutes walk from the school and the city centre, ELC Student House was fully renovated in 2009 and offers single and twin share rooms to ELC students looking for more independent accommodation. ELC Online Learning

ELC has developed a great new online-learning and community area for all ELC Sydney students and graduates. The online learning provided will enhance their study experience at ELC as they can begin their study plan from their time of enrolment, access it during their course and continue it for 3 months after they finish. On the community area, students can create their profile like on Facebook and meet students who will start on the same day as them or who are already at school. After their course, they can keep in touch with their friends too! Students receive their username and password when they enroll and can access ELC-online immediately and prepare for their course with us!

TESOL @ ELC Sydney

We are pleased to announce the addition of two new fully-accredited courses at ELC: English for TESOL (10 weeks) and English for Teaching Children (5 weeks). Both courses are designed for students who are English teachers at home or who would like to teach English in the future.

The courses combine essential language and skills development in English for the classroom with workshops on teaching methodology and teaching practice lessons.

Our first English for TESOL course started in March with 10 students from 7 countries.
